Memphis, Tenn. - The Oklahoma City RedHawks will have to wait one more day to resume play following the All-Star Break. Thursday's game against the Memphis Redbirds was postponed due to unplayable field conditions at AutoZone Park.

Heavy rain pounded downtown Memphis in the late afternoon and early evening, finally subsiding around 7:30 p.m. The grounds crew and several members of the Redbirds front office worked hard to get the field in playable shape, but a drainage problem in left field prevented a safe playing environment.

It's the ninth RedHawks game that has been postponed this season, and the 13th affected by inclement weather.

In order to make up Thursday's postponement, the RedHawks and Redbirds will play a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. Friday evening. Live coverage begins at 4:35 p.m. on AM 1340 "The Game," 1340thegame.com, or through the free IHeartRadio mobile app.
