RedHawks Set Opening Night Roster

FARGO, N.D. - The 20th season of Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks baseball will start in St. Paul on Thursday night as the club helps open CHS Field, the new home of the St. Paul Saints. After 12 days of training camp, the RedHawks players who will make up the roster for the historic game has now been set.

Manager Doug Simunic has set a 22-man roster for Opening Night, with 11 pitchers and 11 position players. In addition, two players will start the season on the Inactive List, with another placed on the seven-day Disabled List. The roster includes:

Pitchers: Bryan Blough; Chase Boruff; Jeremy Gooding; Randy Henry; Tyler Herron; Ty Kelley; Austin Kirk; Brandon Mann; Mike Mason; Mike Noteware; Paul Raglione; Taylor Stanton (IL).

Catchers: Michael Leach; Joe Staley; Charlie Valerio (DL)

Infielders: Chris Duffy; Zach Penprase; Brent Peterson; Frank Salerno; Ryan Soares

Outfielders: Joe Dunigan; Stefan Gartrell; Ryan Mathews; Chad Mozingo; Drew Muren (IL)

The RedHawks and Saints will square off in a four-game series to start the year, with games on Thursday-Saturday starting at 7:05 p.m. Sunday's game will be at 5:05 p.m. All games can be heard on the radio home of the RedHawks, 740 AM The Fan with Scott Miller calling the action. The RedHawks Home Opener is scheduled for Monday, May 25 at 6:00 p.m. against the expansion Joplin Blasters. Every fan in attendance will receive a RedHawks 2015 Magnetic Schedule and be treated to a post-game fireworks display.
