Spokane Shock News Release
The Spokane Shock announced today WR/DB Andre Rector has been assigned to the 2007 roster by the arenafootball2 League Office.
Rector, 6-foot 180, completed a decorated career at Northwest Missouri State in 2005 where he followed in the footsteps of his older brother Jamaica, now a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
Rector set single-season records in yards (1,297) and catches (97) and was tied for third in touchdowns (11). He is currently ranked sixth all-time on the MIAA career list in yardage (3,049) and finished third at Northwest Missouri State in receptions (213) and fourth in touchdown receptions (18).
"Andre Rector is a very special player," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "He's a player who I had at the top of my wish list and now that we've signed him, the fans in Spokane are going to be very happy."
Rector is the sixth player signed for the Shock's 2007 roster.
"Coach Shackleford is putting together a championship-caliber roster, especially at the receiver position which is crucial in the offensive oriented Arena League," General Manager Adam Nebeker added.
The Shock will begin their campaign to defend their ArenaCup Championship on March 31st as they host the Stockton Lightning. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462.
