
Record Crowd Sees Cincinnati Kings Defeat Louisville Lightning, 11-9

CINCINNATI -- Goals rained like New Year's Eve confetti for the Cincinnati Kings tonight as they defeated the Louisville Lightning, 11-9, in the first match of 2011 in the Professional Arena Soccer League. The win keeps Cincinnati in first place in the Eastern Division of the PASL with a 7-1 record. The game drew a Kings record 1,387 fans to Cincinnati Gardens.
Led by Xavier product Sam Fiore who scored a hat trick plus three assists, the Kings also saw goals from Jeff Hughes (2), Kwame Sarkodie (2), Drew Ducker, Garrett Buck, Jeff Henderson and Matt Breines.
Louisville was led by a hat trick from Chad Hagerty along with two goals by Tony Jouaux. The Lightning falls to 1-5 on the season.
The Cincinnati Kings next home game is Friday, Jan. 14, 7:35 p.m. against the Detroit Waza at the Cincinnati Gardens.
