MIAMI - The Miami FC's preseason schedule continued, Saturday morning, with a matchup against Barry University.

The Miami FC came out firing, peppering the Barry University goal from the start of the match. The Brazilian duo of Stefano Pinho and Michel led the way, giving the Orange and Blue a 3-0 lead at the half.

Stefano Pinho opened the scoring early in the first half. With some space at the top of the box, he hit a shot from distance and beat the keeper near post.

A few minutes later Michel hit a beautiful free kick, dropping the ball over the wall and in the bottom right corner. Just before halftime, he would step up to the spot and convert a PK for his second goal of the match.

The second half would see a shuffle of the lineup and three more goals.

Daniel Vega opened the second half with an amazing save to keep Barry off the board. Minutes later a fluid string of six passes ended with Jaime Chavez putting the Miami FC ahead, 4-0, with a point blank finish.

The Orange and Blue pushed its advantage to 5-0 after Dylan Mares powered his way into the box and scored off of a rebound goal from a Chavez shot.

Barry would show signs of life late in the match, putting two shots into the back of the net.

The match closed out with a great Blake Smith solo goal. Picking the ball up at the top of the box, Smith spun around the first defender, sprinting past a second and creating a 1v1 opportunity. He then powered his shot far post for a final score of 6-2.

The Miami FC's preseason schedule continues next Saturday, when the Miami FC hosts the Miami Fusion at St. Thomas University. The club's preseason schedule ends on March 18, when the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL make the trip south to St. Thomas University. All matches will be free and open to the public.
