Real Salt Lake News Release
SANDY, Utah (Friday, June 4, 2010) - Real Salt Lake (6-3-1, 19 pts. - 2nd West) will look to avenge its loss to D.C. United (2-8-0, 6 pts. - 8th in East) in Wednesday's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifying affair when the two sides meet up for a rematch in League play tomorrow, Saturday June 5. Kickoff from RFK Stadium in the Nation's Capital is set for 5:30 p.m. MT for a contest that will air live on KUSG (over-the-air 2.2 / Comcast 111 / Dish 12) and be followed by the 30-minute America First Credit Union Post-match Report. Fans can also listen in live over the airwaves on RSL's official radio partners - ESPN-KALL 700 Sports (English) and ESPN Deportes 1600-AM and Homero 106.1-FM (Spanish). Despite Wednesday's Open Cup overtime defeat to the Black-and-Red, Real Salt Lake will carry plenty of momentum into Saturday's contest courtesy of a club-record five-game winning streak in MLS play. Despite having a 4-4-2 all-time mark against D.C. in League action, the Claret-and-Cobalt are still in search of their first three-point result inside the Beltway, having gone 0-3-2 in its previous five visits. The two squads will meet at Rio Tinto Stadium on July 31 to close out this seasons' home-and-home series.
