Real Monarchs Travel to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs are set to travel to Colorado Springs in search of their first win of the abbreviated season on Saturday, August 1 when it faces Switchbacks FC. Kickoff from Weidner Field is set for 6:00p MT and can be seen LIVE on ESPN+.

The Monarchs face Switchbacks FC on Saturday in the second consecutive meeting between the two sides after the two faced one another just two weeks ago on July 18, the last time both clubs took the field. The match ended in dramatic fashion at Rio Tinto Stadium with Switchbacks FC scoring twice in the final six minutes to steal a point and draw level at 3-3. Monarchs saw goals from forward Kyle Coffee, defenders Andrew Brody and Taylor Peay in the draw.

Colorado Springs carry a slight all-time edge over the Monarchs within the regular season having earned 23 out of a possible 45 points between the clubs, including a +1 goal differential.

Saturday's match-up between Real Monarchs and Switchbacks FC will be the 16th all-time meeting between the clubs.
