Real Monarchs SLC Host Rio Grande Valley FC Toros for "Monarchs Family Monday"

HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC (9-2-1, 28 points, 1 West) are set to face Rio Grande Valley Toros on Monday, June 4th at Zions Bank Stadium, looking to extend its lead atop the United Soccer League standings. Kick off in Herriman is set for 7:00 p.m. MT with the Toros visiting Zions Bank Stadium for the very first time.

A "Monarchs Family Monday" is set for the match in Herriman where fans can purchase four tickets and four pretzels for just $24. Fans can secure their seats to the club's second Monday match of 2018 by going to RealMonarchs.com/schedule.

The Monarchs return to Zions Bank Stadium after a 1-0 victory over Western Conference rival Sacramento Republic FC last Tuesday behind a record-setting goal from FW Chandler Hoffman. The striker notched his 50th regular-season goal in the win in his 100th appearance. GK Jake Leeker also helped the club to another shutout by saving his second penalty kick in as many games in just his fourth professional start.

Real Monarchs and RGVFC have not met yet in 2018 last season the sides faced off on two occasions that ended in 2-1 victories for the Monarchs. The first match in late-July saw the Monarchs travel to H-E-B Park to see former midfielder Daniel Haber and FW Chandler Hoffman notch goals in the win. The return leg of the series in late-August saw Haber score another while MF Sebastian Velasquez netted the winner at Rio Tinto Stadium.
