Count âEm Games: The Orlando Seals open their regular season Saturday November 8 at TD Waterhouse Centre at 7:35 p.m. against the Lakeland Loggerheads.
Bring Down The Thunder: The first 1,500 fans in attendance at Saturday's game will receive a set of Thunder Sticks, courtesy of Bay Technologies and Anthony Squitieri Plumbing.
Raise The Banner: Prior to Saturday's game, the Seals will unveil the banner celebrating last season's President's Cup championship.
Preseason Wrap-Up: The Seals won both of their preseason games last week. They defeated the Jacksonville Barracudas Saturday at RDV Sportsplex Ice Den, 6-4 and beat the Lakeland Loggerheads 11-1 on Sunday in Lakeland.
Powerful Stuff: In their two exhibition games, the Seals scored 13 power play goals in 23 opportunities, for a .566 efficiency rate. In the Lakeland the game, the Seals scored six power play goals in the second period and were 8-for-14 on the power play in the game.
Share the Wealth: Not only did the Seals hit double digits against Lakeland, they also had double digits in goal scorers, as 10 different players scored goals for Orlando. Matt Brown was the lone player with two goals in the game.
Pract-ice: The Seals practice at RDV Sportsplex Ice Den from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.
