RazorSharks to select twelfth in PBL draft

(Rochester, NY)...The defending Premier Basketball League (PBL) Champions, Rochester RazorSharks have been determined by the league that they will have the #12 selection in this years PBL Draft.

The draft will be held on Thursday October 16th at the ESPN Zone in downtown Chicago, IL. Due to the number of expansion teams joining the PBL this season, the draft positions for the 1st round were chosen at random, and the order will be reversed for the 2nd round selections.

RazorSharks Owner & President, Orest Hrywnak says, "The players that we are hoping to draft will add a new dimension to our Championship team and bring even more excitement to the court for the fans to watch this season."

Players who are projected first-round picks will be flown into Chicago for the event and PBL guests will be hosted at the Downtown Chicago Marriott on Michigan Avenue.

Last year, in the PBL's inaugural season, the RazorSharks used their 1st round pick to select Vidal Massiah (6'6"/Toronto, ON/St. Bonaventure University), who finished as the team's fourth leading scorer during the 2008 season averaging 13.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg.

The draft will be broadcast on television and the internet. The PBL will release more information shortly.
