
Millrats to Pick Sixth in Upcoming PBL Draft

The Premier Basketball League (PBL) announced the 2009 PBL draft order for the 2nd annual draft, which be held on October 16, 2008, at the ESPN-Zone in downtown Chicago. The Manchester Millrats received the 6th and 21st picks respectively.
Due to the number of expansion teams joining the league this season, the draft position for the 1st round for all 13 teams was chosen by random draw and that order was reversed for the 2nd round selections.

"We are looking at several candidates in the draft - players that can step in and help us win right now," explained Millrats GM Ian McCarthy.
McCarthy, along with principal owner Jason Briggs and co-owner David Cooper, will make the trip to Chicago next week to attend the draft.
Manchester announced last week the signing of former first team CBA All-Star Desmond Ferguson.
