RazorSharks Host Showcase on Saturday November 1st

(Rochester, NY)...The 2008 Premier Basketball League Champions, Rochester RazorSharks will host a Showcase on Saturday November 1st at the Downtown Carlson MetroCenter YMCA from 9:00am - 12:00noon.

This event is free and open to the public to view. Participants who would like to be evaluated on their basketball skills can pre-register for $5 ($10 day of). Register at www.razorsharks.com) at the MetroCenter YMCA, 444 E. Main St., or the RazorSharks office, 39 State St, Suite100. Evaluations will be done by the 2008 PBL Coach of the Year, RazorSharks Head Coach Rod Baker. All proceeds from the event will benefit the YMCA's Invest In Youth Campaign.

Participants in the Showcase will be automatically registered to win a RazorSharks Family Four Pack of passes to see Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa courtesy of Dreamworks Pictures.

The morning will be broken down into three sections. Male and female participants 13 years old and under will be evaluated from 9:00am-10:00am, 14-17 year olds will be evaluated from 10:00am-11:00am, and participants 18 years old and up will be evaluated from 11:00am-12:00pm.

The RazorSharks will also offer anyone who comes through the door a "Showcase Ticket Special" on General Admission Season Tickets for $50, along with other prizes and giveaways that will include free tickets to the RazorSharks Home Opener on January 10th at 1:05pm at the Blue Cross Arena.

Members of the 2008 Championship team, Keith Friel and John Halas will be on hand for one-on-one questions and answers, autographs, and photo opportunities.

Local celebrities who will be participating in the Showcase include, from Sports Radio 1280 WHTK, John DiTullio, New York State Senator Joe Robach, and News 10 NBC's Jennifer Johnson, and Dino from 93.3 WFKL.
