Vermont Frost Heaves News Release

South Burlington, VT - The Vermont Frost Heaves are pleased to announce the signing of Rodney Edgerson for the upcoming 2008/2009 Season. Rodney is a 6"5", 194 pound guard who played for Kentucky Wesleyan last year and help lead them to a co-championship in the GLVC East Division.

"Rodney recently participated in the Frost Heaves fall tryout camp and impressed all of the coaches" stated GM Michael Healey. Last year at Kentucky Wesleyan, Rodney played in 29 games, and was second on the team in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game. He was 1st team all GLVC and led the team in 3 point shooting percentage at 44%.

"Rodney worked extremely hard at our try-out camp. He caught all of the coaches' eyes with his defensive intensity and energy. We knew coming in that he was a great shooter, but we were all pleasantly surprised to see how many other things he brought to the table." Stated Head Coach Will Voigt.

"I just want to thank Coach Voigt for the opportunity to play for the Frost Heaves team this upcoming season. I was so excited to come to the tryout camp and I know I can help the team towards their next championship in our first season in the PBL. I look forward to arriving in Burlington at the end of next month and start this season" stated Rodney.
