
RazorSharks Fourth in ABA Playoff Power Rankings

(Rochester, New York) Rochester RazorSharks Head Coach Rod Baker, who has led the American Basketball Association expansion franchise to a 15-3 record, was named an assistant coach for the ABA East All-Star Team. Baker, along with divisional rival, Maryland Nighthawks coach Keith Williams will assist on the East team's sideline for the All-Star Game at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL on Saturday, February 11th. Indiana Alley Cats Head Coach, Gary Graham was named Head Coach of the East squad on Monday. Of the announcements, ABA CEO, Joe Newman said, "Both Rod and Keith have done outstanding jobs with their teams and are certainly worthy of the recognition."
The Rochester RazorSharks remained in the #4 slot in the American Basketball Association's Playoff Power Rankings after winning two games last week and securing first place in the Connie Hawkins Division with a 15-3 record. The RazorSharks travel to Canada this Friday, January 20 to play the Montreal Matrix at 7:05 p.m. The Matrix are on a four-game win streak.
The ABA's "Pit Bull" Playoff Power Rankings are based on each team's win-loss record, number of games played and strength of schedule. The 36-game regular season schedule concludes in mid-March, with a single-elimination tournament-style playoff format following. The rankings are sponsored by the Pit Bull Energy Drink and Energy Bars.
