RazorSharks clinch Eastern Division

Rochester RazorSharks News Release


Buffalo, NY- James Reaves led seven Rochester RazorSharks in double figures with 20 as Rochester cruises to a 123-92 victory over Buffalo. The victory clinches the Eastern Division for Rochester and hands Buffalo their 18th consecutive loss.

Buffalo actually led this one early as they went on a quick 7-2 run to start the contest. When Jerice Crouch hit a mid-range jumper with 5:36 to go in the quarter, Rochester had the lead for good.

The RazorSharks would lead by six after one, 21 after two, 30 after three and would finish with a 31 point victory.

Aside from Reaves's 20, Lincoln Smith had 19 and Keith Friel had 18 for the RazorSharks who are now 15-3 on the year. Buffalo was led by Tyrone Rayson who had 37; Chuck Reed and Derick Payne had 13 each for the Stampede who are now 1-18.

Rochester gears up for the playoffs on Saturday night as they are at home to take on Chicago. Buffalo wraps up at home against Battle Creek who has the best record in the PBL at 16-2.

Notes: Rochester shot 52.9 percent from the field and hit 10-29 from beyond the arc. Rochester did a solid job of protecting the basketball with only 14 turnovers.
