March 27, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Rochester RazorSharks News Release
Rochester, NY. The Rochester RazorSharks won the 2005-2006 ABA Championship on Sunday afternoon before a roaring crowd of over 6,200 people at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY as they defeated a strong and determined Southern California Legend team with a three point victory that wasn't decided until the final seconds. For the second day in a row, the RazorSharks mounted a fourth quarter "come from behind" charge to secure the victory.
When the buzzer sounded, fans poured onto the floor in support of their team, a remarkable scene considering that this was the RazorSharks' first ABA season. More details to follow.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
