Rayz to hold season ticket holder party

Corpus Christi, Texas: October 27, 2004 – The Corpus Christi Rayz will hold their first season ticket holder party of the new season on Tuesday, November 2 (Election Night) at 6:00pm at the Omni Marina Hotel. Rayz season ticket holders can pick up their season ticket booklets and meet the players, coaches and staff who will all be on hand for the event. The Rayz Rewards Grand Prize winner of an official contract to play for the Rayz will be announced at the party Tuesday night.

The season ticket holder party will last from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Tuesday in the Riviera Ball Room of the Omni Marina Hotel. The Hotel is located in downtown Corpus Christi at 707 N. Shoreline Blvd. Food will be provided for all guests and there will be a cash bar available. Fans can pick up their season ticket books, containing their tickets for the entire home schedule at the event. All season ticket holders are encouraged to attend, and one lucky Rayz season ticket holder will be announced as the newest member of the Rayz roster. Those who cannot make it to the party on Tuesday can pick up their tickets at the Rayz booth at this Sunday's Corpus Christi Caller-Times Best of the Best Showcase at the Bayfront Convention Center from 10:00am – 5:00pm.

Rayz Rewards is a ticket benefit program designed exclusively for Rayz season ticket holders. The Grand Prize Winner for the Third Period drawing will win the chance of a lifetime, and actually play a regular season game for the Rayz. This lucky fan will sign an official CHL contract, practice with the team, and then start a regular-season game at the AmericanBank Center this season.

Several other third period prizes were announced recently, and seven new Rayz season ticket holders were selected as winners. Andy Villareal won the opportunity to dress in full pads and participate in a practice with the Rayz this season. He will get an in-depth look at how the Rayz skate when no one else is watching. Robert Perry won a weekend getaway for two in San Antonio. Connie Trigg won the opportunity to practice and perform with the Rayz Sting Team. Polly Salvato will get to become the Rayz mascot for one-period during a regular season game. Mike Johnson has won four passes to the Texas State Aquarium. Dave Parent won the opportunity to showcase his voice, while becoming the Public Address Announcer for a period at a Rayz home game this season at the AmericanBank Center. He will announce the goals, penalties and the teams as they enter and exit the rink. Robert Jones was named the winner of a Rayz shopping spree worth $100 to purchase Rayz merchandise in the AmericanBank Center.

The Corpus Christi Rayz kicked off their seventh professional hockey season in Austin last Friday night, and will continue their season-long, four-game road trip this weekend when they visit New Mexico and Colorado. The Rayz will then return home for their home-opener, and the inaugural event in the AmericanBank Center on November 5th vs. the evil Laredo Bucks.
