July 5, 2012 - Arena Football League (AFL) News Release
CHICAGO - Philadelphia Soul QB DAN RAUDABAUGH has been named National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 17 of the AFL season, as voted on by fans.
Raudabaugh (6-3, 220, Miami Ohio) set multiple franchise passing records in Philadelphia's 83-79 victory over Tampa Bay. His 415 passing yards and 11 passing touchdowns represent new single-game franchise records, while his season-total of 4,499 yards broke Tony Graziani's franchise record, set in 2005. Raudabaugh also became the second quarterback this season to eclipse the 100-touchdown plateau.
Other candidates for the award included Arizona Rattlers DB Arkeith Brown and San Jose SaberCats WR Fred Williams.
The Soul (13-3) plays Spokane Shock (8-7) on Sunday, July 8. The game can be seen on Ustream's "AFL Live" Viewer. Kickoff is set for 6:05 p.m. ET.
