Philadelphia Soul News Release

PHILADELPHIA (July 5, 2012) - The Arena Football League has announced that Philadelphia Soul quarterback, Dan Raudabaugh (6-3, 220, Miami Ohio), has been named the National Guard MVP of the Week for his record-setting passing performance in Philadelphia's 83-79 victory over Tampa Bay on Friday, June 29.

"Dan's worked very hard to get himself to the point he's at now," said Soul head coach Doug Plank. "The numbers he's producing this season are directly related to the hard work and long hours he put in during the offseason."

The National Guard MVP of the Year and All-Arena candidate finished the day by connecting on 24-of-37 passes for 415 passing yards and 11 passing touchdowns, the second-most in AFL history, setting a new single-game franchise record. His season total of 4,499 yards broke Tony Graziani's 2005 franchise record and he is now the second quarterback in the League this season to record his 100th touchdown.

The Philadelphia Soul (13-3) return home this Sunday when they host the Spokane Shock at 6 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. The game will be seen on The Comcast Network (check local listings) with Lou Tilley and Tom Goodhines calling the action.
