
Rattlers Try to Break Two-Game Slide

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rattlers hit the road for the second time this season, as they battle the Boston Cannons on Saturday, June 21st at 7:00 p.m. The game from Cawley Stadium will be broadcast on News Talk 950 WROC and online at rochesterrattlers.com.
The contest is the first of two games against the Cannons this season. Rochester also hosts Boston on July 19th at Bishop Kearney Field. Rochester owns a 3-1 all-time record against the Cannons, which includes a 2-0 mark on the road.
The Rattlers carry a 1-2 record into the game after losing 17-14 to the Long Island Lizards at Bishop Kearney Field on June 14th. The loss was the second straight for the second-place team in the National Division.
Rochester faces a Boston team (2-1) that suffered a 17-16 overtime loss to the Baltimore Bayhawks on June 14th. Boston opened the season with wins over New Jersey and Bridgeport. The contest on Saturday is the Cannons' third home game in four weeks.
Boston has a dangerous lineup that includes former Rochester Rattler Mike Regan and Conor Gill. Regan leads the MLL with three two-pointers and is tied for fifth in the league with 13 points. Gill also has 13 points in three games for the Cannons. Goalie Kevin O'Brien is third in the MLL with two wins.
The Rattlers are led by Josh Coffman and rookie attackman Gewas Schindler. Coffman is tied for third in the league with 14 points (10+4) and Schindler is tied for fifth with 13 points (11+2). Casey Powell is tied for second in the MLL with seven assists in three games.
Rochester practices on Friday, June 20th at 8:00 p.m. at Total Sports Experience in Gates.
The Rattlers return home on Friday, June 27th to play the Baltimore Bayhawks at 7:35 p.m. The game will be broadcast on News Talk 950 WROC and online at rochesterrattlers.com. The contest will also be televised on ESPN2 on Tuesday, July 1st at 3:00 p.m.
