Florida Launch News Release
BOCA RATON, FL.- In another rainy evening at FAU Stadium, the Launch fell to the number two ranked, Dallas Rattlers, 13-19.
In the first half, Dylan Molloy scored a hat trick and added an assist. Kieran McArdle was involved in the first three points of the game for the Launch, assisting on all three. Molloy ended with six points, where McArdle was one behind, with five to end his night.
In the second half, defensive difficulties plagued the loss, ultimately leading to a decisive Dallas win.
QUOTES OF THE GAME
DYLAN MOLLOY - Our faceoffs, clearly we're doing really well. [Ben] Williams was crushing it. That's how I got most of my points. We put up a lot of goals, more than we've been [putting up] lately, so we're taking the right step. But, we fell short today. I think we did a lot of things well, but we have to do a couple things better.
I think it's going to take a lot of concentration, everyone buying in. Just making sure we're making smart plays, not dumb turnovers. Coach says that a ton. Especially on the road, we've got to be dialed in. We're not on our home field or home locker room. We have to bring it.
They're a good team, but they're playing normal [defense]. If we had the ball more, I would've liked to see more goals, and maybe it would've been a different game.
COACH MARIANO - I think honestly, when we had possessions, we did a good job. It just felt like we went long periods without having the ball. They did a good job of wearing the possessions down. It felt like our attack didn't get enough possessions and touches.
It's good. Connor's a very good player. The thing is, when guys haven't played in a few weeks, it's a lot different than running on a treadmill or running on the field and shooting on your own. So, there's always an adjustment period, but it's great o have him back, and he'll get better every week he goes out there.
I think the big key is stick to the game plan, execute. Each guy's got to do their job.
