Dallas Rattlers News Release

Denver, CO - The Dallas Rattlers head into week five of the 2019 MLL regular season in search of their first victory and will square off against the Denver Outlaws at Broncos Stadium at Mile High on Thursday night. Faceoff is set for 8 p.m. CDT. The game will air live on ESPN+.

The Rattlers are coming off a tough 13-11 loss that saw seven different players find the back of the net, with Ryan McNamara registering a hat trick, Brian Kormondy and Jack Curran tallying twice each, and Bryce Wasserman, Teddy Hatfield, Zack Greer, and Jake Seau each scoring once. Of the aforementioned players, Kormondy and Hatfield both had two assists in the defeat, and Wasserman had one, while Joe Saggese, who was making his MLL debut, had an assist.

On the defensive front, Christian Carson-Banister has held his own in since making his MLL debut with the team on the season-opening game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Carson-Banister made 12 saves on 25 shots in the loss to Atlanta.

The Outlaws are 2-1 on the season, having won against the New York Lizards 11-9 in their season opener, losing two days later to the Atlanta Blaze 14-12, and defeating Atlanta just six days after 18-16. After having a bye last weekend, Thursday night's contest will be Denver's first home game of the season.

The Outlaws' offense is led by Zach Currier and Brendan Kavanagh, both of whom scored four points each in Denver's third game of the season- Currier had a hat trick and an assist, while Kavanagh had one goal and a trio of assists. Also on Denver's roster is John Grant Jr., MLL's All-Time leading point scorer, who has six points (three goals, three assists) this season. At 44-years-old, the Peterborough, Ontario native is in his 13th MLL season.

Outlaws' goaltender Dylan Ward has played all but 38 seconds of game through the first three contests of the season, allowing 39 goals on 80 shots on goal and recording 41 saves. Ward, 28, was picked up by Denver in 2014.
