Dallas Rattlers News Release
Denver, CO - The Dallas Rattlers lost Thursday night to the Denver Outlaws by a score of 15-9. The Rattlers will look to improve an 0-4 record on a double-header week as they travel to New York to face the Lizards Saturday night.
The Rattlers exploded in the first quarter for seven goals scored by six different players. Zack Greer, Ryan McNamara, Robert Mooney, Brian Kormondy, and Cody Radziewicz each netted a one-point score with Eli Salama adding a two-point goal. The tallies marked the first career goals for both Mooney and Salama.
The offensive output slowed to a halt in the second quarter with the Rattlers failing to score until after halftime. Despite the cold stretch, the Rattlers' defense, led by rookie debutant Sean Sconone in goal, kept the Rattlers in the game. The Rattlers trailed 11-7 after two quarters.
Attackman Zack Greer left the game in the second quarter with an injury and did not return.
Both teams matched evenly in the third quarter with two goals apiece. Joe Saggese netted his first career goal and Ryan McNamara added his second of the night.
The offensive struggles continued in the fourth quarter for the Rattlers as the visitors failed to score in the final frame. The Outlaws take their home opener 15-9.
Next up, the Rattlers are back in road action on Saturday against the New York Lizards. Faceoff for the game is set for 6:30 p.m. CDT and will stream live on Lax Sports Network.
