Rattlers Host New Jersey Saturday

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rattlers return home to play the New Jersey Pride on Saturday, June 14th at 7:30 p.m. The contest at PAETEC Park will be broadcast live on WYSL 1040-AM, wysl1040.com and ESPN360.com. The game will also be televised live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet (Channel 26).

Prior to the game, Foodlink, along with Bud Light, will present the official pregame party with live music from Burn Unit. The first 1,000 fans will receive a frisbee, courtesy of Invisible Fence. In addition, the first 1,000 fans will take home a Jeff Zywicki player card, courtesy of Bud Light. The postgame party is at The Distillery at 1142 Mt. Hope Ave.

The game is the first of two meetings between the two Eastern Conference foes. The second game is on Friday, July 19th at 7:30 p.m. at Yurcak Field on the campus of Rutgers. Rochester is 14-6 against the Pride and split the season-series in 2007. New Jersey ended the Rattlers' franchise-record eight-game winning streak with a 13-12 victory on August 4th.

Rochester (3-1) enters the game after suffering its first loss of the season, dropping a 14-11 decision to the Washington Bayhawks last Saturday. After losing the weather-shortened game, the Rattlers and Bayhawks (3-1) are tied atop the Eastern Conference. Casey Powell recorded three points to pass Mark Millon as the league's all-time points leader. Goalie Mike Levin also became the team's all-time saves leader, passing Brian Dougherty. Rookie Kyle Guadagnolo made his pro debut at Washington and recorded two ground balls. The Syracuse product was the Rattlers' second-round pick in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft. John Grant leads the MLL with 24 points as Rochester stands tied for second in the league with 63 goals.

New Jersey enters the game 0-3 and in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. The Pride dropped their last contest, 17-8, on June 6th to the Boston Cannons. Matt Danowski made his MLL debut against the Cannons. The Duke star was the second overall selection in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft. New Jersey has been led by Merrick Thompson (12 points). The Pride have scored a league-low 28 goals in three games.

The Rochester Rattlers play the Philadelphia Barrage on Saturday, June 21st in Cary, NC. The contest will be televised live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet. The Rattlers will hold a Viewing Party at The Distillery (3010 Winton Road South). The game also will be broadcast live on WYSL 1040-AM and wysl1040.com.

The Rochester Rattlers return home on Saturday, June 28th at 7:30 p.m. as they host the Los Angeles Riptide at PAETEC Park. The game is a rematch of the 2007 MLL Semifinals, which was won by LA 15-14 last August. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Brodie Merrill player card, courtesy of Bud Light. Fans can arrive early and enjoy the pregame party with live music from Shelflyfe. After the game, the Rattlers' official postgame party will be held at The Distillery at 1142 Mt. Hope Ave.
