June 12, 2008 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL)
New Jersey Pride News Release
(Clifton, NJ)-The New Jersey Pride men's Professional Lacrosse Team announces their game day partnership with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Greater New Jersey. The fund-raising event, scheduled for June 21, 2008, has been established to help expand cystic fibrosis research and care.
The New Jersey Pride will be donating a portion of their June 21st game day proceeds directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All funds will be used to support the organization's advancements toward finding a cure.
Kathie Bond and her daughter Allie are both avid supporters of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the sport of lacrosse. They are not only attending the game day event hosted by the Pride, but they are also participants in the Great Strides walk, hosted by The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
"My daughter, who has cystic fibrosis, loves the game of lacrosse and is becoming quite a good middie for her team," said Kathie. "The medications that she takes everyday are available because of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, so please, help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and all of the people with cystic fibrosis reach their goals."
Fundraising events for CF, such as the June 21st New Jersey Pride game, allow these two organizations to come together and raise money and awareness to find a cure, while also allowing the community to take an active part in these efforts. The June 21st game will be played at the Rutgers University Yurcak Field in Piscataway at 8:00pm. Call (973) 614-1792 for tickets.
