For its four home game telecasts, FSN Arizona has made plans to do something with its announcer crew in the booth that is has never attempted before. As opposed to the typical one play-by-play announcer and one analyst announce team, the network will instead offer a dual analyst booth and not employ a traditional play-by-play announcer. As a result, the crew, which consists of a pair of former NFL players in Dale Hellestrae and Glenn Parker, will be able to offer unmatched analysis and insight into the team's game plans, techniques, schemes and coaching decisions.
Dale Hellestrae - Analyst
Dale Hellestrae is a 17-year veteran of the NFL, having played on the offensive line for the Buffalo Bills (1985-89), Dallas Cowboys (1990-2000) and the Baltimore Ravens (2001). In addition to being an analyst on Rattlers broadcasts the past few seasons, Hellestrae's experience includes doing color commentary for the Dallas Cowboys, NFL Europe and the 2004 Insight Bowl. He has also done college football for FOX Sports Net and the NFL for FOX.
Glenn Parker - Analyst
Glenn Parker is a former NFL lineman who during his 12-year career with the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants from 1990-2001 became one of only four players to reach the Super Bowl in each of his first four seasons. Most recently, Parker was a studio analyst for the AFL on NBC for four seasons and currently works for FSN Arizona on other local programs.
Jody Jackson - Sideline Reporter
Jody Jackson, a versatile anchor and reporter for FSN Arizona, has been with the network since it launched a news department in July of 2000. In addition to the Rattlers, she covers all the professional and collegiate sports teams in the region, including the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, Suns, Coyotes, Sun Devils and Wildcats. Jackson won an Emmy Award for the "Best Live Reporter" in 2006 and was named the No. 2 reporter in Phoenix for 2000 by the Arizona Republic.
Kevin McCabe - Sideline Reporter
Long-time Arizona sports television personality Kevin McCabe is an anchor and reporter FSN Arizona. He has worked as a sideline reporter for NFL on FOX telecasts for the past 10 seasons, working with such broadcasting legends as Pat Summerall and John Madden. He has covered many major sporting events, including three NCAA Final Fours, two Super Bowls, one World Series, one NBA Finals, NBA & MLB All-Star Games, numerous college football bowl games and professional boxing title bouts.
In addition to the team's television schedule, the entire 2007 season will be broadcast on radio on KMVP 860 AM. The Rattlers on radio will take fans inside the walls through expert analysis and insight provided by some familiar voices, including Hellestrae, who will also be providing color analysis on KMVP 860 AM for games that are not televised.
Kent Derdivanis
Kent Derdivanis begins his eight season as play-by-play voice of the Rattlers. A versatile announcer, Derdivanis also has eight years of experience as a baseball play-by-play man, having spent time with the Boston Red Sox (NESN), Pittsburgh Pirates (KDKA), Milwaukee Brewers (WVTV) and the Baseball Network on ABC-TV.
