O'FALLON, Mo. - The River City Rascals won in dominating fashion on Saturday night at CarShield Field, defeating the Joliet Slammers 7-1 to take the 2-0 series lead. Dalton Roach (4-0) threw a complete game, allowing just one run on three hits with one walk and 11 strikeouts.

Braxton Martinez made it 5-1 with his two-run blast in the fifth, and JD Hearn added a two-run double in the seventh.
Slammers starter Matt Quintana (1-1) took the loss, allowing five runs on 4 2/3 innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.
The Rascals (16-10) look for their first series sweep of the year against the Slammers (9-17) tomorrow night, with first pitch scheduled for 5:05 p.m. CDT. Travis McQueen is expected to take the mound for the Rascals.
