Rascals Announce 2009 Promotional Schedule

O'Fallon, MO - The River City Rascals, presented by Progress West HealthCare Center, have released their 2009 promotional schedule that is action-packed and full of many different value-driven options for everyone.

There is always something going on at T.R. Hughes Ballpark no matter what day of the week you come out to cheer the Rascals on to victory. Every Sunday in 2009 is Purina One Hope Sunday. Fans are allowed to bring their dogs out to the ballpark with admission in the Lawn seating area. All fans can come down to the field of play after every Sunday home game as well for autographs of your favorite player or mascot. Also, back by popular demand in '09 is the Four Scoops of Free Food promotion sponsored by The Scoop Newspaper. For only $40.00 treat your family to 4 box tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 bottles of the Coca-Cola product of your choice. This wonderful ticket package is only available if you pre-order before the desired Sunday game you will be attending. Finally, come out early every Sunday to support local youth baseball teams as they participate in the St. Peters Bone & Joint Field of Dreams program with a game of their own.

McValue Mondays brought to you by McDonald's and The Community News are nights that fit every one's budget. All tickets are only $5.00 and hot dogs are just $1.00. You can also bring out your dogs again if you sit in the lawn section.

Tuesdays are all about Kids! Participating schools take part in the Missouri Valley Federal Credit Union Ruffy's Reading Club and earn vouchers for reading. After the game all kids can come down onto the field and run the bases.

Wednesdays are "Your Way Wednesdays" brought to you by My Way Mobile Storage. Fans can vote online at www.rivercityrascals.com or at the My Way Mobile boxes in front of T.R. Hughes Ballpark for each Wednesday promotion.

As always fans can join us on Thursdays for Buffalo Wild Wings Thirsty Thursdays! Join us in the Beer Garden for $1.00 beers. Buffalo Wild Wings will also have exit sampling of their amazing menu items.

Back by popular demand is Progress West HealthCare Center Fireworks Friday! Every Friday home game join us as we light up the skies around T.R. Hughes Ballpark with a spectacular fireworks display after the game.

Finally, on select Saturdays, Radio Disney will be joining us live in front of the ballpark starting 90 minutes before game time for a energizing performance.

The River City Rascals would also like to announce eight special giveaways that will be given out through the season for the first 1,000 fans. On May 29th, Lutheran Schools of St. Charles County will be giving away a Moses Bobblehead. On May 30th, Mozingo Music will be sharing a Rally Egg Shaker with the Rascals fans. June 30th, Budweiser will be giving away a Rascals golf visor. Harvester Christian Church Christian Family Night is scheduled for June 12th and is packed with fun and faith. ARAMARK will be giving away a Noah Bobblehead, former Cardinals pitcher Kent Bottenfield and his praise band will be performing post-game immediately following a fireworks display as well. Join us June 21st as we celebrate the Rascals 2nd Major Leaguer, Joe Thatcher, with his very own bobblehead. On June 27th, Edward Jones will be giving away the 2009 River City Rascals hat displaying our team motto. If you are present on the July 4th game, SSM St. Joseph Hospital West will be giving away the Rascals team card set. Finally, on August 6th, Budweiser will be giving away a River City Rascals pennant.

Other exciting events that you won't want to miss will be held on June 10th, June 13th, July 18th, and September 3rd. Back by popular demand is the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest on June 10th. A baseball carnival will be set up in the V.I.P. parking lot with over 20 different midway-style attractions and activities. For all the Boy and Girl Scouts out there, on June 13th, with your registered group, Quick Trip will be hosting a camp out on the field with all the girls. On July 18th, Quick Trip with be hosting the Boy Scouts. Last but not least, we would like to say thanks to all of our fans by hosting a fan appreciation day on September 3rd. Tons of giveaways and a 'shirt off their back" auction sponsored by 1st Financial Federal Credit Union benefiting the Children's Miracle Network will highlight our season finale.
