
Raptors host Fort Wayne in first of two-game homestand

Rock River returns home for the first of two straight home games when they host the Fort Wayne Freedom on Saturday night. Kick-off will be at 7:35 p.m.
It will be Raptors Trading Card Night with the first 1,500 kids 14 and under receiving a set of Raptors trading cards. The promotion is sponsored by WTVO Channel 17 and by Ink Enterprises.
The Raptors will also mark Father's Day by giving away free breakfast pizzas to the first 1,000 fathers courtesy of Happy Joe's Pizza.
Rock River takes a 7-4 record into Saturday's game and will be looking to get back on the winning track after seeing their four game winning streak snapped 70-54 against the Omaha Beef.
Despite the loss, Rock River is still pegged for the third seed in the play-offs behind Sioux Falls and Lexington, which would give the Raptors at least one home play-off game.
The Raptors still lead Bloomington by two games with four left to play in the race for the United Indoor Football Association's Central Division title.
Rock River and Bloomington will renew their rivalry for the third time this season on June 24th. The Raptors have won both meetings between the two clubs.
The Extreme dropped to 5-6 on the season after losing to Ohio Valley 43-37.
In the loss to the Beef, Ben Sankey completed 14 of 28 passes for 193 yards. Sankey also rushed for 74 yards on seven carries including a 43-yard touchdown run. Randy Bell rushed for 54 yards on seven carries and scored three touchdown passes.
Tyrece Butler caught three passes for 69 yards and one touchdown grab. John Hollins caught two touchdown passes for 59 yards. Ade Adeyemo hauled in five passes for 40 yards.
Rock River's opponent for Saturday night, Fort Wayne, has lost their last eight in a row, including a 43-37 loss to Evansville. Fort Wayne began the season with three straight wins.
Fort Wayne's last win was a 37-32 decision over Ohio Valley on April 8, 2006.
The game will also be the second between the Freedom and Raptors this season with Rock River winning 49-36 in Fort Wayne on May 12th.

- Don't forget that RAPTOR PARK will open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and will remain open until game time. Great food such as Burgers, Brats, Hot Dogs and Chips will be available for purchase along with beer, soda and water. - When the Bloomington Extreme come to the "Rock Pile" on June 24th for there third meeting with the Raptors, it will be "Free Hot Dog Night" as the Raptors will be giving away 10,000 free hot dogs while they last. The event is sponsored by Insight.
- The Raptors wrap up the regular season on July 8th with a date against the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. That game will feature Youth Hat Night where the first 1,500 youths ages 17 and under with receive a free Raptors hat courtesy of Pepsi and Fox 39 TV. Half-time of all three games will feature exhibition games from the Rockford NFL Flag Football program.
