Tennessee Valley Raptors News Release

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Tennessee Valley Raptors coach Dick Adams has announced the signing of former Mississippi State defensive lineman Jason Clark and ex-Middle Tennessee State wide receiver Hashem Joyner.

"Jason gives us another big body up front and another player in the lineup with SEC experience,'' Adams said. "Joyner has a great set of hands and he'll do a great job stepping in at wide receiver."

Clark (6-foot-1, 245 pounds) started eight of nine games for the Bulldogs in 2003 and had 61 tackles and six for a loss. For his career, Clark started 25 games and finished with 182 tackles, three sacks and 15 tackles for a loss.

Joyner (5-9, 160) spent three injury-plagued seasons at MTSU, where he played in eight games during the 2003 season and ended the year with three catches for 12 yards. In 2001, he played in 10 of 11 games and finished the year with three catches for 88 yards.

The Raptors (4-8) play at Ohio Valley (6-5) on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game can be heard on WUMP 730-AM.
