
Raptors add defensive back

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league announced today that they have signed DB Justin Lopez to a contract.
Lopez joins the Rock River Raptors from the University of Memphis for his first year of professional football. He started his career at Minnesota West Junior College before transferring to Memphis at the start of his sophomore year. Even though he didn't start until the seventh game of the 2004 season, he ended the year as the team leader in interceptions with four and pass breakups with 11.
Lopez returned to the Tigers in 2005, appeared in 11 of 12 games, and finished the season with a total of 14 tackles and seven pass breakups. He finished his career with 65 total tackles and four interceptions.
The Raptors will travel to Lexington, Ky. this weekend to take on the
Horsemen on Saturday May 12. The game can be heard on ESPN 1380 and
