The Colorado Rapids announced that the club has signed 23-year-old defender Ben Newnam, who has been with the club since preseason. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Ben is a great young player who can feature in multiple positions for us. He is already a consummate professional at a very young age," Rapids Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni said. "He has a great mentality which means he pushes himself and his team-mates in a positive way. We look forward to him making a significant contribution this season."
