COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Monday, June 20, 2011) - The Colorado Rapids (5-4-7, 22 points) will visit the Columbus Crew on Sunday, June 26 at 6 pm (MT), aiming to extend their six-game road unbeaten streak and rebound from a 3-1 home loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy. The Crew are currently third in the Eastern Conference (5-4-6, 21 points) and lost their last home game 1-0 to the Chicago Fire, while the Rapids defeated Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field in their last road matchup.

This Sunday's match marks the halfway point of the 2011 campaign for Colorado, and also the return of Brian Mullan from his 10-game suspension. Mullan has been training with the club daily and producing results on the reserve squad, scoring the only goal in their last match against Sporting Kansas City reserves.

Following the match in Columbus, the Rapids will travel to Washington, D.C., where President Barack Obama will honor the club for winning the 2010 MLS Cup. Monday's event at the White House will also include a soccer clinic on the South Lawn for children of military families. More information on the White House visit will be available in the coming days.

The Rapids will return to Dick's Sporting Goods Park to take on the Houston Dynamo at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3. The game is part of the Rapids' 16th annual 4thFest, an Independence Day celebration featuring an outdoor festival before the match and fireworks afterwards. Tickets to the July 3rd matchup between the Rapids and the Dynamo are still available, and can be purchased by calling 303-825-GOAL or visiting www.ColoradoRapids.com.
