
Rapids Make Moves to Become Roster Compliant

COMMERCE CITY, COLO. (Monday, March 2, 2009) - The Colorado Rapids announced several roster moves, as the club looked to become roster and budget compliant per Major League Soccer regulations.
The team announced today that goalkeeper Steward Ceus was signed to a developmental contract. Per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not announced.
In additional roster moves, goalkeeper Justin Hughes, midfielder Kwame Sarkodie and defender Cesar Zambrano were waived.
These roster moves give the Rapids 22 players currently under contract with the team, leaving the club two open roster spots for future transactions.
