Rapids 2 Loan Costa Rican International Daniel Chacon to C.S. Cartagines

Colorado Rapids 2 have loaned Costa Rican international Daniel Chacon to his former club, C.S. Cartagines, the club announced today. Chacon will join C.S. Cartagines for the 2022 Liga Promercia Apertura, which begins on July 20 and runs through the end of October.

"When we signed Dani, a top priority for the organization was to ensure he was in the best possible position to earn a spot on Costa Rica's World Cup roster in Qatar. In consultation with the Costa Rican staff, we believe that providing Dani first division minutes and minimizing his travel demands will assist him in achieving that dream," said Rapids 2 general manager Brian Crookham. "Dani is going to be a part of the Rapids organization for the long term and we look forward to his future contributions to the club. We also want to thank C.S. Cartagines who have been excellent to work with throughout the transfer and loan process."
