The Rapid City Red Dogs of the National Indoor Football League, NIFL, would like to welcome the new defensive coordinator for the team Eric Rice. Eric graduated from Adams State College in 1996. While in college he made All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference twice, in 1993 and 1995. Eric played strong safety for the Green Bay Bombers of the IPFL in 1998, where he was second in the league in total tackles. In 1999, Eric played middle linebacker for the Rocky Mountain Thunder of the IPFL. Last season, Eric played middle linebacker and defensive end for the Red Dogs. Eric lives in Colorado and works as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Green Mountain High School, where he has been working since 1997.

"Eric will be a great impact for our defense with the experience that he will bring to our program," said Head Coach Dan "Magic" Maciejczak.

The Rapid City Red Dogs are entering their second season in the NIFL and will open their home season on March 30th against the Sioux Falls Storm. All home games are played at The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and tickets are available at the Civic Center Box Office.
