Ransom And Morgan Earn League Honors

May 12, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Tulsa Talons News Release

Talons' Linebacker Jamar Ransom and Wide Receiver Donovan Morgan have earned week 6 league honors. Ransom was named the JLS ironman of the week and Morgan made the Cutters catch of the week.

Ransom led a tenacious effort by the entire Talons defense in the 2nd half of the game against Alabama last Saturday. He finished with 7.5 tackles, a pass break up and sacked Vipers' QB Kevin Eakin for a safety which helped the Talons erase a 1st half deficit.

Morgan who leads the Talons in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns had another great week making seven catches for 76 yards and four touchdowns. Morgan, nicknamed Spiderman because of his web-like hands, made his best catch of the night in the 3rd quarter with a diving on-handed grab in the endzone which led to the Talons tying the game at 42.

The Talons are on the road in Cleveland this Saturday taking on the Gladiators. The Talons official watch party is at Fair Meadows Grill (21st and Yale-just North of Big Splash) at 6pm. The Talons return home Saturday May 22nd against in-state rivals the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. Call the Talons office at 294-1000 to get your tickets for the game on May 22nd today.
