The Cleveland Monsters, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that Kitchener Rangers' goaltender Pavel Čajan has signed a two-year AHL contract with Cleveland through the 2023-24 season.

Čajan, 19, recorded a 3.61 goals against average (GAA) and a .901 save percentage (SV%) in 44 games with Kitchener during the 2021-22 campaign. He earned a 21-18-4 record between-the-pipes with the Rangers this past season.

"We're thrilled to see Pavel get rewarded after having a strong year in Kitchener," said Kitchener Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie. "We'd like to thank Pavel and wish him all the best in his career moving forward."

A 6-foot-2, 174-pound goaltender, Čajan recorded a 3.98 GAA and a .905 SV% in nine playoff games with the Rangers. Čajan was selected by Kitchener in the first round (49th overall) of the 2020 CHL Import Draft.
