April 5, 2009 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Marquette Rangers News Release
Marquette - Marquette Rangers forward Chad Pietila has been named to the North American Hockey League's North Division First Team for 2008 - 09. The Milford, Michigan native led both the Rangers and all North Division teams in offensive production during the regular season with 61 points (25g, 36A) in 57 games.
Pietila, a Northern Michigan University recruit, just finished his second season in the Rangers organization. He has scored a total of 99 points in 113 games; which places him in second place in all-time team scoring behind three year veteran Jim Gallagher.
"Chad has been our leader all year," said Rangers head coach Kenny Miller. "This honor is a reflection of what he means to our organization, and just how hard he's worked to get to this point in his career as a hockey player. We're very proud of his accomplishment and very happy for Chad and his family; he deserves this honor from the league very much."
