
Rangers Beat Otters 2-1

Kitchener, ON: Matt Halischuk scored his 28th goal of the season midway through the second period to lift the Rangers to a 2-1 win over the visiting Erie Otters.
The Otters opened the scoring in the first period when Anthony Peluso beat Charles Lavigne with his 5th goal of the season at 11:18. Mike Duco tied the game at 1-1 notching his 17th goal of the season at 18:47.
In the second period Matt Halischuk scored his 28th goal of the year at 7:36 for the eventual game winner.
In the third period the Rangers outshot the Otters 13-8 and finished with a 52-28 advantage in the game.
Charles Lavigne picked up the win turning aside 27 shots.
The Rangers next home game is Friday, March 2nd against the Plymouth Whalers. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
