Grand Rapids Rampage News Release

GRAND RAPIDS - The Grand Rapids Rampage will team up with the Grand Rapids Youth Athletic Organization for the second time this week at the GRYAO Jamboree tomorrow (Aug. 19) at Houseman Field. Rampage quarterback Chad Salisbury (Perryopolis, Pa.) and Blitz, the team's mascot, will be supporting the league and signing autographs from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (EDT).

Also making an appearance will be the Rampage Rambler, the Rampage's new 2007 Honda Ridgeline wrapped in the team's branding.

The Jamboree is a preseason scrimmage including all of the youth football teams and age groups in the GRYAO. Youth football players in the GRYAO range from six- to 13-years-old. The all-day affair will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.

This marks the second outing in conjunction with the Rampage Youth Football Program, through which Rampage players and coaches will attend youth practices this fall, instructing and playing alongside West Michigan's next generation of athletes. Last Tuesday, Salisbury and the Rampage Rambler brought the Rampage Youth Football Program to the Northeast Raiders of the GRYAO. Salisbury addressed the importance of teammates and success in the classroom before throwing passes to the Raiders players.
