
Rampage Single-Game Tickets On Sale Saturday

GRAND RAPIDS - Armed with a stellar new national television partnership with ESPN, celebrity owners and franchises in America's top cities, the Arena Football League's 2007 season is ready to kick off and West Michigan fans are invited to be part of the action. Single-game tickets to help the Grand Rapids Rampage celebrate their 10th Anniversary Season in grand style will go on sale this Saturday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. EST.
Tickets, starting as low as $17, can be purchased at RampageFootball.com; The Zone, the team's official retail store located on the west side of the arena; any West Michigan Meijer location; or by calling Star Tickets Plus at (616) 222-4000.
The Rampage's home schedule begins on Thursday, March 8, against the Las Vegas Gladiators. Helping Grand Rapids celebrate the start of its historic 10th year will be Michael Trigg, the winningest head coach in Rampage history who guided the team to the ArenaBowl XV championship in 2001. The former AFL Coach of the Year will participate in ceremonies throughout the game.
On Thursday, March 15, Grand Rapids will welcome the Philadelphia Soul, a team that boasts music and acting star Jon Bon Jovi as its co-owner and chairman of the board, and on Saturday, April 7, the Rampage will take on the New York Dragons.
Then, on Saturday, April 21, the defending ArenaBowl champion Chicago Rush will arrive at Van Andel Arena. Mike Furrey, a former AFL wide receiver and the NFL's second-leading receiver this past season with the Detroit Lions, will sign autographs and join the raucous crowd as the Rampage look to unseat their rival.
Central Division clashes continue throughout the month of May. Grand Rapids will look to duplicate last season's thrilling 61-54 victory over the Nashville Kats - co-owned by country music star Tim McGraw - when the two meet on Saturday, May 5. Two weeks later, West Michigan football fans can watch the Rampage take on the 2006 Central Division champion Colorado Crush and co-owner John Elway on Saturday, May 26.
On June 2, the Kansas City Brigade will make their first appearance ever in Grand Rapids. Finally, the Rampage will close out their home schedule on Saturday, June 16, when they welcome the five-time ArenaBowl champion Tampa Bay Storm and AFL legendary head coach Tim Marcum, a seven-time ArenaBowl champion and the winningest coach in league history.

The Grand Rapids Rampage are preparing to celebrate their 10th season in the Arena Football League. The Rampage, ArenaBowl XV champions, compete in the league's American Conference. The team is led by third-year head coach Sparky McEwen, and plays its games at Centennial Wireless Field in Van Andel Arena.
The Arena Football League, entering its 21st season, was dubbed the fifth major-league sport by ESPN the Magazine in 2004. The league consists of 19 teams split into two conferences and four divisions.
