LAREDO, Texas â The three Bucks players, Brent Cullaton, David Guerrera and James Hiebert, who were participating in an American Hockey League camp with San Antonio have been returned to Laredo. For Bucks season or single game tickets call (956)-718-BUCKS (2825) or log onto www.laredobucks.com.
The Rampage made the announcement this morning that the players have been assigned back to the Bucks.
The players participated in two-a-day practices with scrimmages in the afternoon this past week under the watchful eyes of the NHL Florida Panthers and the Rampage staff.
Cullaton, who was voted to the 2003-04 CHL Southern Conference All-Star team, also won the fastest skater competition at the CHL All-Star Game. He led the CHL playoffs with 20 points as the Bucks became the first team in CHL / WPHL combined history to rally from a 3-1 finals series deficit and capture the President's Cup. During the regular season he had 25 goals and 50 assists in 39 games with Laredo before being called up to the Rampage.
Guerrera captured the 2003-04 CHL Rookie of the Year Award and was also the CHL Playoff MVP. He was 26-4-5 in the regular season with a 0.932 save percentage and a goals allowed average of 2.10. In the playoff he was 8-2 with a 1.65 goals allowed and a save percentage of 0.934.
Hiebert tied for the CHL post-season lead with eight goals. He had 16 goals in 61 games last season as the Bucks posted a 48-8-8 regular season record and captured the 2003-04 CHL Governors' Cup.
Training camp for the Bucks opens on October 11th The Bucks host an exhibition game at the LEC on October 17thagainst the Mexican National Ice Hockey Team. Laredo opens the 2004-05 CHL season on the road October 22nd in San Angelo. The Bucks begin the home campaign on October 23rdagainst the Corpus Christi Rayz.
