Grand Rapids Rampage News Release
GRAND RAPIDS - The Grand Rapids Rampage will play the final home game of their 10th Anniversary Season tomorrow (June 16) against the Tampa Bay Storm. While the Rampage have been eliminated from postseason consideration, they can still quell the Storm's dreams of a home playoff game bid while shooting for their fourth win at Van Andel Arena this season.
Last week, Grand Rapids fell on the road to the defending ArenaBowl champion Chicago Rush, 55-32, ending its hopes for a playoff berth. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay enters tomorrow night's game having won six of its last seven games, including last weekend's 69-59 home victory over the Philadelphia Soul.
Having lost star receiver and kick returner Timon Marshall to the NFL's Chicago Bears and quarterback Chad Salisbury (Perryopolis, Pa.) to injury, the Rampage struggled early in Chicago last weekend, turning the ball over in each of their first two possessions.
Grand Rapids showed signs of gelling in the fourth quarter, however, as new starting quarterback Adrian McPherson (Bradenton, Fla.) connected on 11 of 18 passes for two touchdowns in the frame. Meanwhile, Marshall's kickoff return replacement, Clarence Coleman (Miami, Fla.), logged a career game with seven receptions for 77 yards and 204 total all-purpose yards.
Tomorrow night's game will be aired on a tape delay basis on FSN Detroit beginning at 10:30 p.m. EDT, with Ray Bentley and Rob Rubick on the call. Rampage fans unable to attend the game can hear every snap beginning at 6:50 p.m. EDT with play-by-play voice Joe Parson and color commentator Herman Moore on WBFX 101.3 or at RampageFootball.com.
