
Rampage Fall to Mexico in first playoff game

Rockford, IL, April 3, 2009- Rockford Rampage traveled to Monterrey, Mexico to face La RaZa in the first of a two game playoff series. LaRaZa lead most of the first and second quarter, until Gary Brooks helped push the Rampage to an 11-10 lead. The two teams were gridlocked at 11-10 for the entire third quarter. LaRaZa seemed to gain momentum in the fourth after scoring during a power play. The Rampage managed a last minute goal but it proved to not be enough, as their rivals maintained the lead until the end.
The Rampage will return to Rockford on Friday, April 3rd to prepare for a HOME playoff match scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at 5:35 pm at the MetroCentre. A Rampage win will force a mini-game immediately following Sunday's game. The victor from this contest will earn participation in the championship game against 1st seed, Baltimore Blast to be held in Baltimore on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 7:35 (EST).
Playoff tickets will be available for purchase on Wednesday, April 1 through Friday, April 3 at Rampage Offices at Victory Sports Complex - 7003 N. Alpine Rd, Loves Park, Illinois 61111. Office hours are 10 am to 5 pm - office phone is 815/633-7075, x5; at the MetroCentre box office, and online at www.rockfordrampage.com. Ticket prices will remain the same - $8, $10, $15, and $25. The Rampage will honor fans, season ticket holders, and sponsors during Fan Appreciation Night, Sunday, April 5, 2009. The first 150 kids can join Rocky and the Crash Dancers on the field for the player tunnel. Special promotions by Cricket Communications: thunderstix, mini soccer balls, saver wallets, and can coozies. Special discounts will be available at the rampage merchandise store.
