
Ramone Atkins Named 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year

One of the best offenses in the league was led by a first-year player. Ramone Atkins of the Duke City Gladiators has been named the IFL 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year.
In multiple offensive categories the Gladiators were the best in the league. They are ranked first in passing yards per game and total passing touchdowns.
Atkins led this offense with the confidence, knowledge, and skill of a veteran of the indoor game. In just 14 games, Atkins was fourth in the league with 2,169 passing yards. He was second in the league with 50 passing touchdowns. Ramone was also dangerous on the ground. On the season, he totaled 311 rushing yard and 15 rushing touchdowns.
The 6'2" quarterback played collegiately at New Mexico Highlands University. He proved to be one the IFL's top quarterbacks in 2022, leading the Gladiators to the playoffs and earning All-Rookie accolades in addition to being named Offensive Rookie of the Year.
