JaQuan Artis Named 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year

One of the best defenses in the league was led by a rookie on the defensive line. JaQuan Artis of the Norther Arizona Wranglers has been named the IFL 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The Wranglers led the league in sacks, rushing yards allowed and passing touchdowns allowed. This was in no small part led by the pressure and power of defensive lineman, JaQuan Artis. As rookie, Artis led the entire league in sacks with 9.5 on the season. He was also second in the league in tackles for loss with a total of 17.5.

The 6'3", 250-pound defensive end played proved to be one the IFL's top defenders in 2022, leading the Wranglers to the playoffs and earning All-Rookie accolades in addition to being named Defensive Rookie of the Year.
