Rainmen Sign NBA Talent

(Halifax, NS): The Halifax Rainmen are thrilled to announce the signing of Liam McMorrow. The 7'2 270 lbs centre poses an unbelievable mix of strength and athleticism for a player his size.

Liam played his college basketball at Marquette University, and later Tennessee Tech. He was drafted by the lowa Energy of the NBA D League. McMorrow is 27 years old, and also had the experience playing for the New York Knicks in the NBA Summer League in Vegas 2013 and 2014.

Liam decided to take his talents to play professionally in Taiwan where he averaged a staggering 16.5 PPG, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.

Rainmen Owner Andre Levingston said, "We've never had a player in our league like Liam, he is a game changer and will give us that physicality we've been missing." Levingston added: "To get a player with his size & skills set that is athletic and can run the court, is very rare."

Liam is scheduled to arrive in Halifax Saturday to join his team, he will began playing pending FIBA clearance.

Halifax Rainmen will host Island Storm on Sunday, Jan 18th 2PM at Scotiabank Centre and SJ Mill Rats on Sunday,Jan 25th at 2PM.
