Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen are pleased to announce the signing of Point Guard Cashmere Wright on Wednesday February 4th, 2015. Cashmere will be joining the Rainmen for the final eight games of the regular season as the team gears up for the NBL Canada playoffs.
Cashmere played for the Cincinnati Bearcats at the collegiate level where he recorded 1300 points, 482 assists, and an impressive 198 steals. After finishing his college career in 2013 the six foot tall point guard took his talents overseas, playing with the GasTerra Flames in the Dutch Basketball League, where in his first season he would capture the Dutch championship. While playing in the Netherlands Wright averaged 14.2 points per game, making him fifth in the league.
You can catch Cashmere Wright and the rest of the Halifax Rainmen this coming Friday, February 6th at 7pm inside the Scotiabank Centre when we take on the Brampton A's, in Brampton's only visit during the regular season. Tickets are still available at the Scotiabank Centre Box Office, through Ticket Atlantic or by visiting www.rainmenbasketball.ca.
