Power Team up with MasterChef Pino and Ronald McDonald House Hamilton

HAMILTON, ON - On Friday, February 6 th, 2015 Ronald McDonald House Charities Hamilton (RMHH) will be joined by Chef, Pino Di Cerbo and the Mississauga Power Basketball team, to participate in RMHH's Meals that Heal program. Chef Pino and the team will be preparing and serving dinner to families staying at the House.

The Meals that Heal dinner program provides families who are staying at RMHH and have critically ill children being treated at local hospitals, with a nutritious, balanced and safely prepared meal every night of the year. This program is the first of its kind amongst the 339 Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide and has been identified as a best practice in family-centred care.

The Meals that Heal program is offered free of charge to all guest families and is designed to be fully supported by community partners and volunteers.

The Mississauga Power Basketball organization is committed to giving back to the families and communities of the Greater Toronto Area. In addition to participating in RMHH's Meals that Heal Program, Power Basketball is proud to host the Ronald McDonald House Charities Hamilton basketball game on Sunday, February 8 th 2015 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Power Basketball's mission is to create awareness for RMHH while raising funds to help support the families through their greatest moments and most difficult ones. Half of all ticket sales from the game will be donated directly back to the House.
